Pussycat Dolls Slam Split Reports
Sexy pop six-piece The Pussycat Dolls has slammed reports they are on the verge of splitting up.
The American group, who derived from the Los Angeles burlesque dance troupe, leaped to fame last year with their huge hit Don't Cha.
Frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger's recent solo work with Sean 'Diddy' Combs and opera star Vittorio Grigolo has fuelled speculation the girls are going their separate ways.
However, a spokesman insists the girls are very much together.Beyonce Plagiarism Case Thrown OutA court case alleging Beyonce Knowles stole lyrics from another singer was thrown out of a Houston, Texas, court yesterday.
Minneapolis, Minnesota, songwriter Jennifer Armour alleged in legal papers that the former Destiny's Child star used her lyrics from the track Got A Little Bit Of Love For You in her 2003 hit Baby Boy.
Armour claimed a demo recording of the song was sent to Columbia Records, which is the home of Knowles - but the presiding judge ruled the tracks are "substantially dissimilar".
Knowles said in a statement: "It's unfortunate that lawsuits such as this one occur, but I am grateful and relieved to have this behind me and I am eager to move on." Aguilera Defends Hilton's PopChristina Aguilera has heaped praise on pop rival Paris Hilton for having the guts to try her hand at music.
The hotel heiress released debut single Stars Are Blind earlier this year and was panned by critics and musicians alike for the effort.
However, Aguilera insists new artists are always "welcome" in the industry and doesn't mind the competition.
She says, "There are always going to be other records and other singers out there, and years from now I'm sure there'll be the next Christina Aguilera coming up.
